Webinar: Inclusion and Participation of Women in Global Science Organizations
In this webinar, the results of a collaborative study conducted by GenderInSITE, the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) and the International Science Council (ISC) are presented. Global surveys of science academies that are members of the IAP and the ISC, as well as international disciplinary unions and associations that are members of the ISC, show that women remain underrepresented in global science.
Speakers include Roseanne Diab, Emeritus Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and Director of GenderInSITE, and Vivi Stavrou, Executive Secretary for the Committee for Freedom and Responsibility in Science and Senior Science Officer at the ISC. The event will be moderated by Alice Abreu, Professor Emerita, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The event will be held online on March 24th, 2022 from 3 to 5 PM CET.
